My Featured Artist this week is Blue Mink, a British six-piece pop group that existed from 1969 to 1977. Over that period, they had six top 20 hit singles on the UK Singles Chart and released five studio based albums. Don’t miss it!

9am – 10am Chris Booth & Chris Capel music Show (name TBC)

During the 1950’s and swinging 60’s, when pop music was flourishing and Pirate radio ruled the UK airwaves, there was the BBC’s ‘Light Programme’ which provided a relaxed but formal approach to music in the form of ‘Easy Listening’

In today’s show, we will be playing some famous and enjoyable music from the world of ‘Easy Listening’ that has survived the test of time.

10am - 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Yabber Yabber is on at the later time of 10am this week. My guest is Hungerford Town Councillor Jerry Keates (pic) and he’s talking about the parade and ceremony to award the 6th Armoured Close Support Batallion REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) the freedom of the town, The event is taking place on Saturday April 25th. I’ll also be playing some tunes to get you in the weekend mood.

On 4 Legs this week, Linda and Tim check out the world of parrots, ‘pretty polly and all,’ Other subjects include the story behind the boiling tap, some TV ads you might or might not remember, the latest bird and butterfly numbers and the girl recognised as ‘the voice of Ireland’ (see group pic)
