Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

The weather seems to be warming up a bit but there’s still some rain around. You can start your day with two hours of “get you started on the bright side” music at 7. Plus, this week’s featured artist at 8 is Janet Jackson Her album “Rhythm Nation1814” became the best-selling album of 1990 in the United States and has sold an estimated 12 million copies worldwide. In March 1991, she signed an unprecedented $32 million contract with Virgin Records, the largest record deal at the time. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

4LEGS presenter Pete Brady will be chatting to Chris in the studio about the Heads2gether Support Group which is for people living with cancer of the mouth, nose, throat, ear, neck and face. In particular Pete will talk about the Group’s online petition  for free NHS dental care after the intense radiotherapy often included in treatment for head and neck cancer. Also, Chris will be playing a classic piece of comedy from TV / Radio in the past. 

11am – 11.30am The Local Eco Show

On this week’s show Deborah Phillips (pic) and Brian Quinn will be talking about rubbish and waste and the challenges of disposing and recycling it.

11.30am - 12noon This Week with Penny & Brian

With Penny still away it’s Brian that’s in the hot seat again and he’ll provide the latest local news from the Valley and the surrounding area plus he delves into some of the stories making the headlines.

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

With only just over 2 weeks to go before Cheltenham it will be the last weekend for some horses to get their final run before taking their chance in one of many feature races at the Festival. This Saturday there are no less than 3 Grade 2 races at Kempton together with the ultra competitive Eider handicap chase at Newcastle run over a stamina sapping 4miles 1 furlong.  Chris will do his level best to find you a winner from some of these races and a few others as well.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi

We’re delving into the 4LEGS archives to bring you a show first broadcast in February 2024. Max’s theme is Covers and Tobi’s is Storms. Apart from the usual banter you can enjoy tracks from the The Doors, The Four Tops, Ry Cooder, Prince, Lyle Lovett, Peter Gabriel, The Dead Kennedys and many more…

1.30pm - 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face at 1.30, Tim and Linda complete their review of songs with American place names in their titles. The usual  random range of topics includes self driven cars, attentive llamas, plans to revive an extinct avian and a trip to the ‘Farmers Dog’ pub (pic) at Burford.
