On Monday the 4th of May 1959, many of the music elite gathered together in Los Angeles and New York to attend the first Annual Grammy Awards presented by the Recording Industry of America. These awards are considered by many to be the most prestigious, significant awards in the Music Industry. Starting this Saturday at 2 in the afternoon we will begin rebroadcasting the series that tracked the progress of the Grammy Awards Ceremonies starting with that first one in ’59 and ending with the
68 th Grammy Award ceremony which will be held in 2026.
So, if you like the best that the music industry has to offer, join me at 2 this Saturday afternoon for the Grammys when I’ll be playing the music of the winners in 1958 and 1959. Don’t miss it!
