11.15am – 12.15pm This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest this week is Mary Wilson (pic right) who has volunteered for many years at Great Western Hospital in Swindon and encourages others to join her. Great Western Hospital is looking for volunteers to help them re-launch their Mobile Trolley Shop. Being a patient in hospital or visiting friends and family can be a difficult time, especially if you cannot leave the ward, so having the option to purchase some simple supplies can make a real difference to the day.
They are also looking for more Pets as Therapy Volunteers. Anyone with a Pet can do this but they would need to register with Pets As Therapy or Therapy Dogs Nationwide to be assessed.
