It’s another two hours of get you started music this morning. My Featured Artist at 8 will be Barry Manilow. He’s only had three songs in the UK top ten but has been praised by his peers in the recording industry. In the 1970s, Frank Sinatra predicted: “He’s next.” Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

I look back at this day in Music History and you can enjoy some more classic comedy from Bill Bailey (pic). I’ve the usual look at the past 7 days in the UK economy during ‘business matters” and Brian Quinn will be on hand for all the local news and event information in “What’s New Mr Q” There will of course be lots of tunes which includes some Chrismassy numbers to get you in the festive mood.

11am – 11.30am This Week with Penny

This week Penny discusses how to avoid the temptation to buy too much food at Christmas! 

11.30pm - 12noon The Local Eco Show

In this episode Penny talks to eminent climate scientist Sir Brian Hoskins (pic)from Pangbourne about the latest COP in Azerbaijan, and the urgent need to switch government subsidies for the fossil fuel industry to renewable energy if we are going to achieve the urgently needed drop in global carbon emissions.

On this week’s Face2Face, Tim finds out about a dangerous snake creeping up a lady driver’s leg, checks out a poorly penguin in a baby bouncer, takes a trip to the cinema and reveals the number six choice in the look at the Face2Face top ten TV comedies.
