7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

My Featured Artist at 8 in this week’s Breakfast Show is Charles Edwin Hatcher. You know him as Edwin Starr (pic right). He’s best known for his 1970 top 10 hit, the Vietnam War protest song “War” as well as several disco hits. 9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

I’ll be looking back at the year 1992 and in particular what made the headlines in the world of entertainment, sport, news, births, deaths  science & technology and music. Brian Quinn will be on hand with all the latest local news and event information and there’s the weekly look at the UK economy during the “business matters” slots. Plus there’ll be usual selection of some great music. Enjoy!

11am – 11.30am The Local Eco Show

This week Penny joins the People, Planet, Pint group in Newbury and, fitting for the current month of Brocktober, interviews Jill Hoblin (pic right) from Berkshire’s Binfield Badger Group to find out all about the UK’s mysterious apex predator and why we should be protesting the government’s decision to continue their cull.

This week’s show is all about food and Penny discusses more seasonal cooking ideas to inspire listeners.

12noon – 1pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

It’s Qipco British Champions Day on Saturday at Ascot with total prize money in excess of £3,500,000. To make sure Chris can preview all six of the fantastic races the Downlands Racing Show is 1 hour this Friday and hopefully he’ll find you a winner or two.
