What’s On 2024-08-16

Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Here we go again! Another two hours of music selected to start your day on the bright side and get you ready for the weekend. The Featured Artist at 8 this week is BTS, the boy band formed in South Korea in 2010. They are the first non-English-speaking and Asian act to sell out concerts at Wembley Stadium and have multiple American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and nominations for five Grammy Awards.
Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Andy Westgate

On this week’s Yabber Yabber show join Andy Westgate sitting in for Chris (why stand when you can sit!). There will be the usual look at the weekend weather, some what’s ons in and around the Lambourn Valley and the usual Business Matters at 10.00.

In place of Brian Quinn, who this week is joining Penny, Andy has set a Test Of Time, a couple of clues and a few tunes from a mystery year…..see if you can work it out.
Yabber Yabber 9.00 – 11.00am this week with Andy

11am – 12noon The Local Eco Show

This week’s Eco Show features pasture for life conservation farming at the Brunskill’s Farncombe Farm in Lambourn (pic right of Liz Brunskill), some of the rarest inhabitants of the Lambourn Valley and a surplus food cafe in Wantage (pic left).

This show is sponsored by Sheepdrove Organic Farm and Sustain Insurance Brokers

12noon - 1pm This Week with Penny

This week Penny chats with husband Brian Quinn (pic) about local news and events including the Lambourn Produce Show this Saturday.

1pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Join Tim Stutt for 90 minutes of great music coupled with some teasing Pop Questions for you to answer during your lunch break.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week,  Linda and Tim search out a little known but heroic WW1 story (pic right) and find out about Olympic sports from previous Olympics. How many people really think they could qualify for the L.A Games? Where do we get expressions like Spick and Span, skedaddle and chalk and cheese from? Plus plenty of varied music.
