9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris is taking his monthly look back at a particular year in history and today it’s 1990. There’ll be facts about entertainment, news, science, sport and of course music from that year. Today’s show will also have the usual look at the UK economy during “business matters” and Brian Quinn provides the local news and event info for the area. Chris also pays tribute to Ray Davies who was 80 last week and is one of the greatest UK singer /songwriters. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

Sara Fenton from Dignity in Dying is Penny’s guest and will be on the phone to talk about the “Dignity has your Vote” campaign.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Chris Carter Brennan

It’s the Northumberland Plate this Saturday at Newcastle which is also historically known as “The Pitman Derby” plus The Irish Derby is taking place at The Curragh (pic) on Sunday. Chris will run through the form of some of the fancied runners in both races and hopefully find you the winners.

12.30pm – 1.30pm The Legal & Finance Show ith Karen Salmon

Daniel Davis, Amelia Knights and Mark Barrett will joining Karen Salmon on this month’s show. Daniel and Amelia will discuss the pros / cons of their journey into the legal profession and Mark will talk about the challenges facing young entrepreneurs.
