Chris chats to local stand-up comedian Sam Michael (pic right) and asks among other things what inspired him to become a comedian and who his influences are. There’ll also be the usual look at local new and events with Brian Quinn and you can catch up with the weekly look at the UK economy during the “Business Matters” slot. 11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
This week Penny talks to Patrick (pic right) and Karla Hickman-Robertson about the litter picking they do along the Lambourn Valley. And Jacqui Flisher from Lambourn Woodlands will be joining her in the studio to talk about the important work of the Brain Tumour Charity.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Chris Carter Brennan
With some great racing over the Easter Weekend Chris previews some of the feature races at the All-Weather Championship fixtures at Lingfield Park and Newcastle on Good Friday where prize money exceeds over £1,000,000 at both venues.
12.30pm – 2pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face 2Face this week, Linda and Tim look at some exceptional people- the actor wounded at the Somme, the runner who wouldn’t give up, the pianist who doesn’t have a right hand and the locals who form a patrol to look after their wildlife (pic). Plus lots of music from Tom Jones to Divine Comedy.
2pm – 3pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi
The themes for today’s Old Wild Men are ‘missed classics’ and ‘more stuff wot I like’. The Old Wild Men will leave you to guess whose theme is whose. Along with the usual banter and musical knowledge you can enjoy tracks from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Iggy Pop, Kasey Chambers, The Flaming Lips, Tom Waits and many more…
