Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Molly Hall (pic right) will give the regular update of events and activities at the N.A.W.T Trindledown Farm near Great Shefford and Brian Quinn will provide the local news for the Valley and surrounding area. Plus there’s the weekly look at the UK economy during “Business Matters” and you can enjoy lots of great tunes to kick start your weekend.

11am - 11.30am The Local Eco Show

In this show, Penny outlines the Wildlife Trust campaign against neonics used exclusively by farmers that grow beet sugar for British Sugar, despite the harm they cause bees and all pollinators. Rosie Kindersley updates us about hedge laying, preparing sheep for lambing, bee walks and soil condition up at Sheepdrove Organic Farm.

Penny also discusses the importance of getting the lowest carbon heat to be the lowest cost heat with Heat Pump Federation Director Bean Beanland – plus the capacity of the national grid and the challenge of inspiring our current primary school students – both boys and girls – to become the future workforce of skilled technicians we will need to install the new technology required for low carbon heating in our homes.

11.30am - 12noon This Week with Penny

This week Penny is joined in the studio by personal trainer Adam Stansbury (pic right) who is going to discuss ‘How to Eat more Intuitively’, reflecting on his journey with diets from paleo / carnivore to veganism and back to an omnivorous / flexitarian approach. How self-exploration can help you to eat more intuitively and how living more intuitively could help the world!

12noon – 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show (Cheltenham Gold Cup Preview) with Chris Carter Brennan

Chris will review the first 3 days of the Cheltenham Festival and go through the runners, riders and feature race of the week “The Cheltenham Gold Cup” Will Chris find you winner of the big race? You’ll need to tune in to find out.

12.30pm – 1.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

On Friday’s Gardening Show, Jane will be giving us tops on clematis and rose training, which she learnt from a recent trip to Mottisfont. We will also discuss if we are in a golden age for Gardening and if that is likely to change in the near future.

1.30pm - 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face at 1.30 this week, Linda and Tim will check out….whoosh…the fastest creature on earth. Plus are weather forecasts improving? Do you remember the Ford Anglia with the dodgy windscreen wipers? And how did clothes rationing inspire new fashions?  The music ranges from Van the Man to the Stones and Noah Kahan
