As usual, I will be playing music selected to start your day on the bright side, no matter what the weather is doing outside. Plus, my Featured Artist at 8 this morning is The Stranglers (pic), the English rock band who emerged via the punk rock scene with a successful career spanning five decades.

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris eases his way into 2024 with a look at some of the UK events to look forward to in the coming year. Plus there’ll be the usual “Business Matters” slot covering the UK economy and “What’s New Mr Q” with Brian Quinn will provide all the latest local news and event information. There’ll be an abundance of great music as well to enjoy.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest this week is Rebecca Fossett from “Jospeh’s Amazing Camels” (pic) who provide the Camel Racing spectacle at the Lambourn Open Days. Rebecca will be talking about 2024 which is the UN Year of the Camel. Penny will also be taking to Chris on a range of subjects for the New Year.
12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan
On the first show of the New Year Chris will be giving his opinion of the new racing initiative ‘Premier Racing’ Plus he’ll be previewing the weekend’s fixtures at Sandown and Wincanton and hoepfully finding listeners a winner or two.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
It’s a New Year and a new set of questions from regular Pop Meister Tim Stutt together with some great tunes to enjoy.
1.30pm – 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda will find out some facts you might not know about London and will subjectively select a team of Londoners to take on the world. There will also be time for regular news features and stories. The music throughout the programme will have obvious London links.
