Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This is an invitation to join me on Friday morning for two hours of music selected to ease you into the last working day of the week. This includes my Featured Artist at eight, The Kinks (pic). This band is regarded as one of the most influential rock acts of the 1960s and early 1970s and I’ll be playing their three songs which appear in the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time which was updated in September 2021. 9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

It’s been a busy year for West Berks Mencap and trustee Gill Leech  (pic right) will be speaking to Chris about their successful projects in 2023. There’s the usual “business matters” slot looking at the week in the UK economy and Brian Quinn will tell us  what’s going on in the Valley and surrounding areas. There’ll also be some lesser known  Christmas songs and some old favourites as well. Enjoy!

11am – 11.30am The Sheepdrove Eco Show

This week Penny catches up with Rosie Kindersley to find out what is happening at Sheepdrove Farm this month and with the Lambourn Environmental Group to hear about their amazing progress with tree and hedge planting over the past 3 years.

Edible Christmas Tree decorations will be this week’s festive topic and Penny might be getting Chris hands on with some pastry in the studio…

12noon – 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

There’s some cracking pre-Christmas racing at Cheltenham for Pat & Chris to get their teeth stuck into. It includes the Virgin Bet December Gold Cup Handicap Chase and the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle. For all the latest racing news, previews and tips join Pat & Chris at 12 noon.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild men with Max & Tobi

Max & Tobi’s theme for the show is Cover versions and Lyrics. There’ll be plenty of banter and great tunes from artists including Lilly Allen, Sid Vicious (pic right), Ciara, Bruce Springsteen, The Byrds Tom Lehrer and many more…

1.30pm - 2.30pm Christmas Classical Gas with Chris Booth

Everybody likes a Christmas tune to get them in the mood. So if you want to ‘Ding Dong Merrily on high’ this edition of Clerical gas will celebrate the festive spirit of classical music from instrumental pieces through to the humble Christmas carol.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda trace the strange history of Christmas cards, check out Christmas carols and find some fun facts about pantos. They also play lots of local Christmas music requests, There is still time for some non Christmas stories including a look at film extras and a Scot who wants to stay in the 40s.
