Michael Jackson, who was recovering from scalp burns sustained during a video shoot, won a record eight awards during the 26th Annual Grammy Awards held in February 1984. As well as Michael, nominations for a Grammy included Lionel Ritchie, Culture Club, Joan Armatrading, Eurythmics, David Bowie, Chicago, Huey Lewis and the News, The Cars, Stevie Nicks, Yes and many more.
