9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Andy Westgate

Andy for Chris this week he’ll be checking out what’s going on this weekend. There’s also business matters, and Brian Quinn will be popping in and Andy will be looking back at this day in music history…..featuring, The Beatles, Madonna and Cream.

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

This week Penny will be previewing some of the interesting talks and events to look forward to in Eastbury next Sunday 15 September as part of the second Green Weekend in the Lambourn Valley. Penny will be joined by Andrew Gorton who has looked after Eastbury’s stretch of the River Lambourn for many years and Dr Mike Pringle, Director of the Richard Jefferies Museum in Swindon and author of Wild Life, a tribute to Jefferies’ legacy as our first nature writer and champion who inspired Edward Thomas, whose nature poetry is immortalised in the Whistler window in St. James’ Church in Eastbury. 

12noon - 1pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

Which UK politician had a wig nicknamed Lucy?  Which member of the Royal Family loved a trip to the UK seaside? Which Shakespearean actor was almost the successor to Sean Connery as James Bond? Find the answers by listening to this week’s one hour Face2Face with Tim and Linda. The music comes from the Temptations, Al Green, Natalie Merchant and more. 

1pm – 4pm The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Pete Brady

First broadcast on December 3rd 2022 its Pete’s twelfth visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and he will be reviewing the Rock and Roll acts inducted into the Hall of Fame and their music from 2005 to 2008. Inductees include The Pretenders, Black Sabbath, Blondie, Lynyrd Skynrd, Van Halen, The Dave Clarke Five and Madonna. Three hours of the music that has shaped Rock and Roll as we know it today. Don’t miss it.
