The Featured Artist this morning is the talented Linda Ronstadt (pic) , an artist that has recoded rock, country and light opera. 9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
For all you Ladies out there who fancy trying the sport of golf then listen to Chris chatting to Rukshi Watson (pic right) from West Berks Golf Club who’ll be telling you about their ‘Taster’ session on Saturday September 9th. The session is an ideal opportunity for beginners / new players, women considering returning to the sport or are new to the area. There’s also this week’s “Business Matters” which looks at the week in the UK economy and Brian Quinn will give us all the latest news and event info in the “What’s New Mr Q” slot. 12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
It’s the Ebor Festival at York and Pat & Chris will look back at some of the feature races from the first 2 days and preview the final 2 days which includes Saturday’s the SkyBet Ebor Handicap which is the richest handicap in Europe. Hopefully Pat or Chris will find us the winner.

Cancelled from last week, today’s Subjects for all you D.I.Y. experts is flooring. There seems to be an increasing amount of interest in stone and porcelain floors. One option that creates quite an impression is indoor/outdoor, where people fit a new patio door and the flooring appears to go right through, by using different thicknesses of material. Also, The increased use of underfloor heating has made ‘stone’ more popular, because it’s nice and warm.
1.30pm – 2.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane
Linda and Jane chat to special guest Tim Stutt about his community garden project. Additionally they will be talking about planting new trees, dividing perennials and finding out about new cultivars of Japanese anemone (see pic).
2.30pm - 3.30pm Face2Face with Linda Forrester & Chris Capel
Chris Capel joins Linda (pic left) for this week’s one hour Face2Face. Subjects may well include the first therapy dog, the return of a singing legend to the stage and the origins of shampoo. Music will include Hozier, Kraftwerk and Neil Finn.
