This week, Penny chats with Brian about the success of the Green Weekend in the Lambourn Valley. She also catches up with Luke from Slate Hill Charcoal in Baydon. Luke will talk about the biochar they produce which is 90% carbon.
With a surface area equivalent to that of a tennis court per gram biochar can bring huge benefits to soil and animals,.whilst locking up carbon for thousands of years. Luke is researching how we can use it to reduce emissions and pollution from agriculture too.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
It’s the first two Classics of the flat racing season this coming weekend, these being the 1,000 Guineas and the 
2,000 Guineas at Newmarket. Pat and Chris will trawl through the form and can hopefully find the winners of both the races.
