On a 3 hour show this week Chris shares some interviews he conducted with children at the Lambourn Youth Junction to find out what they like about it. Steve Harris is on the phone to give the latest update on Lambourn Sports FC and in particular that they are on the lookout for players to join the team. Brian Quinn will provide the latest local news and events information plus you’ll hear 20 of the best one liners, some of which may grace your Christmas crackers. There’s also national news items, some cracking Christmas tunes and lots more. Enjoy!
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan
It looks like the freezing weather will cause the abandonment of the weekend’s National Hunt fixtures, but Pat and Chris will preview the big Boxing Day meeting at Kempton and will delve into the world of all-weather racing for their tips.
12.30pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny
This week Mandy Brady from Shefford Woodlands will be coming into the studio to explain about the ongoing medical and humanitarian supplies she helps collect for Eliska in Lambourn to send to Ukraine. And Penny will be visiting Tobi Corney’s organic Christmas tree plantation of Spruce and Nordman Fir up the road to find out how the site is being managed and to chose her own tree to take home.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Christmas Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
It’s a festive Pop Quizzical this week so expect some questions about some of your favourite Christmas songs as well as the lesser known ones.
2.30pm - 3.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi
Another chance to listen to a previous Old Wild Men show from this summer. Tobi’s theme is animals and Max’s toil & work. They start with the Animals and end with David Bowie.
