7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

It’s the last Friday of August, and the holiday season is coming to an end. The Breakfast Show will get the Bank Holiday off to a flying start with two hours of fab music including our Featured Band, the Police. Formed in 1977, they dominated the music scene until they broke up in 1986, selling over seventy-five million records worldwide. The band was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. 

9am – 11am This Week with Penny

If you missed the annual Lambourn Flower and Produce Show at the Sports Club last Saturday, tune in to Penny’s show to hear all about it. The event had a new organiser this year in the shape of Cathy Brown, and you can find out how she thought it went and listen to Hungerford Town Band in full swing. 

11am – 12noon Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Tune in to Tim’s Quiz Show this week for more challenging rounds of pop questions, testing your knowledge of music through the ages. You can see how many points you get and nobody else needs to know. It’s an hour of guaranteed fun. 

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

Tim State takes the chair this week to ask our experts Pat Murphy and Chris Carter-Brennan for their tips and insights on the runners and riders this weekend. Get the latest inside news on all the happenings in the racing world. 

12.30pm – 1.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

Linda and Jane present their latest Gardening Show, taking a look at biennials and hardy annuals with suggestions on how to fill any gaps in the borders. They also have some recipe ideas for using up surplus fruit and vegetables and they discuss the current challenges with their respective gardens. 

1.30pm - 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda return from Cornwall, full of enthusiasm for the highlights of their trip. They recount the story of the Minack Theatre, contrasting it with our local Watermill Theatre where a new production of ‘Whistle Down the Wind’ is getting rave reviews. What do you know about Real Tennis? And should you take your shoes off when visiting other people’s houses.? It’s all covered on this week’s two hour show.
