7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Pete’s pleased to note that the “Big Heat” is a thing of the past now. As usual, Pete has two hours of music selected to get you started on the last working day of the week. Plus, this week his Featured Artist at 8:00 is the amazing singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist, Lady GaGa. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris is pleased to welcome Molly Hall (pic right) to the studio who’s the Fundraising Officer at the Trindledown N.A.W.T Centre in Great Shefford. Molly will share the latest news & events taking place at the Centre. Chris will also catch-up with Eastbury’s intrepid sailor Steve Pearce (pic below) who’s been sailing around the UK since the beginning of May and will be calling in from his latest port of call which is Howth, just outside Dublin. Brian Quinn will provide his weekly round-up of local news & events and there’ll be some happy tunes to make for an entertaining show. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

This week Penny will be catching up with Veronica Bailey (pic right) from Fare Wise Travel in Hungerford for the latest travel news in what is proving to be a rather unpredictable time for travellers.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

The quality of flat racing continues this weekend with prestigious Group 1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Quipco stakes at Ascot where the Irish Derby winner Westover takes on Emily Upjohn, the filly that was runner up in the English Oaks. Will Pat or Chris be selecting one of these or perhaps another to spoil the applecart? Tune in to find out.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi

Those Old Wild Men are back with another set of songs from some well know artists and lesser known artists together with some interesting facts and amusing banter thrown in. Tobi’s theme for today’s show is ‘names’ and Max has just gone with artists and bands he loves. So you can enjoy music from Neil Diamond, Janis Joplin, Ruthie Foster, Velvet Underground, CW Stoneking, Fountains of Wayne, The Band and many more.
1.30pm – 2.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

Linda and Jane provide their usual mix of gardening wisdom, including some outside recordings.. They visit a garden to offer advice, reflect on their own gardens during this mini heatwave and select the day lilly as their plant of the month.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda investigate the growth of hobbies and report on the national scrabble championship. We complete the story of Beach Boy Brian Wilson, have a peep at the life and times of the Queen’s grandfather King George the fifth (see pic) and check out whether we can locate the real Robin Hood. Plus lots of music.
