Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Starting at 7am, two hours of great music including Pete’s Featured Artist Wham! at 8 followed by a review of all the UK winners of Eurovision plus this year’s entry from Sam Ryder with Space Man. Will he become the first UK winner in 25 years on Saturday night or will the winners be the current bookies favourite, Ukraine? We’ll keep our fingers crossed. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

It’s a football theme on today’s Yabber Yabber and Chris will be chatting to Patrick & Nicky (pics below) Chambers the couple who’ve made a great success of running Hungerford Town FC. They’ll look back at the past 3 years and what they’ve achieved and ahead to the 2022/23 season. Staying with Football Steve Harris who manages the Lambourn Sports Reserve team will share their seasons fortunes. Plus the usual selection of great tunes and national news items. Enjoy!

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

This week Penny will be talking to Emma Milne-White (pic right) and Andrea Hodgkin about their second season of The Well Read Mind. This series of talks and workshops at Hungerford Hub & Library to inspire mental health and wellbeing first started last year in response to lockdown. It was so well received that a new season has just started for this year and will run until 12 July.

Plus Julie Blogg will be in the studio to pick-up a cheque for the Lambourn Junction which was raised as part of the 4LEGS Valantine’s Day Request-a-thon and Brian Quinn will provide the latest local news and local events info.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

Pat and Chris look back at the past 7 days in racing and ahead to the 2 day weekend fixture at Newbury which includes the Group 1 Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi

Another chance to listen  to Old Wild Men from the end of April. The themes are Moon and Colours with music from artists including: The Rolling Stones, The Marcels, REM, Thin Lizzy, Robbie Robertson, The Doors, Hot Club of Cowtown, Jimi Hendrix and many more.

1.30pm - 3.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim look at Denis Waterman’s life, investigate a story linking Audrey Hepburn to a Colditz war hero, and check out which birds have had their own christian names. In preparation for those balcony scenes, we look at the life of the Duchess of Kent and we celebrate seventy years of the Sooty Show.
