The 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Las Vegas last Sunday and Pete will be playing many of the award winning songs and artists between 7 and 9 this wee. Plus, Pete’s featured artist at 8 is Rag ‘n’ Bone Man. Don’t miss it!
9am – 11.30am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
There’s lots of interviews / guests on today’s show. Mike Bowden (pic below right) from Pheonix Enterprise in Swindon gives an update on the work the charity is doing to help with the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Recently retired Racehorse trainer Charlie Mann (pic left) will be on the phone to talk about the “Racing to Help Ukraine” initiative where jockeys, trainers and racehorse transport will be taking critical supplies to the Polish border this weekend. Chris catches up with Ryan O’Connell was last (pic right) on the show in September when he started his challenge to cycle to each football team in the Vanarama National League South to raise money for Prostate UK. Also, Chris met with Lambourn Trainer Clive Cox (pic left) in the week to find out what his hopes are for the new flat season and Mark Smyly from the Lambourn Open Day committee will inform listeners of everything they need to know about next Friday’s fantastic Open Day event. It’s the Grand National on Saturday and the Downlands Racing Show will be previewing the great race. Joining usual pundits Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan will be former brilliant and successful National Hunt Jockey Colin Brown (pic below). They’ll be taking you through the form, the chance of each runner and will give their selection. Last year they selected the winner and runner up. Can they do the same this year? Tune in to find out.
12.30pm – 1.30pm The Finance & Legal show with Karen Salmon
Karen (pic left) will be joined by Alex Atkins (pic right) and Steve Perkins (pic below). The subjects on this week’s show is Pensions and Wills. Karen will cover Pensions and Divorce and Steve Pensions and Tax. Alex will talk about Wills and how they can go wrong
