9am – 11.15 am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris’s studio guest is Ashley Morris (pic right) who’s one of the organisers of this years’ Newbury Spring Festival. Ashley will let us know what we can look forward to and when / where it’s happening. Also, Brian Quinn will be on the phone to give his weekly round up of local news and events in the area. Plus there’ll be the usual look at some of the lesser known national news items and of course some great tunes. Enjoy!

This week Michael and Brian Quinn (pic right) discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, its impact on the world stage and the efficacy of the Russian state media’s attempt to spin the war in their favour.
11.45am - 12.30pm Downlands Racing Cheltenham Gold Cup Preview with Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan
Pat and Chris look back at the first three exciting days of the Cheltenham Festival with some fantastic performances by both horse and jockey. They also look forward to the final day and in particular the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Will they find you the winner of this most prestigious race? You’ll need to tune in to find out.
12.30pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny
This week Penny talks to Sara Fenton (pic right) who is a local campaigner for Dignity in Dying. Sara’s husband Keith suffered from the neuro-degenerative Huntington’s Disease and made the decision to go to Dignitas. He asked Sara to campaign after his death for the law to change in England so that people like him with full mental capacity in the last six month’s of a terminal disease don’t have to make a journey abroad to end their life in dignity.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Old Wild Men with Max and Tobi
Today’s theme chosen by the Old Wild Men is Places & Stories, with Max’s being Places and Tobi’s Stories. There’s some great music from artists including Elvis Costello, Rupert Holmes, Peter Gabriel, The Waifs, Tom Waits, Nat King Cole… and many more.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda visit the Watermill (see image) and a new cinema in Marlborough, review a play, a film and a book, report on some cosseted toads and some heroic dogs, and check out the island, which has moved.
