Racing Welfare are now accepting applications for the new Winter Fuel Grant, a one-off payment of £300 to help cover winter fuel costs.
The grant is for those employed in or retired from the racing and thoroughbred breeding industry who are currently living on or below the Minimum Income Standard. Further information on the eligibility criteria can be found on the Racing Welfare website.
Anyone who is unsure whether they qualify is encouraged to contact Racing Welfare. The Welfare team will offer assistance with this grant and also help racing staff to claim any other statutory entitlements. Racing’s Support Line can be contacted, in confidence, 24 hours a day on 0800 6300 443.
