What’s On 2021-12-10

Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This week Pete’s featured band at 8 is the Manic Street Preachers (pic right), a Welsh rock band formed in 1986. They have won eleven NME awards, eight Q Awards and four Brit Awards.  Plus, they were nominated for the Mercury Prize in 1996 and 1999, and have had one nomination for the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Add music and new releases selected to start off your Friday from 7 to 9 in just the right mood. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Jill Fitzpatrick from the Lambourn Riding for the Disabled (pic right) talks to Chris about next Saturday’s (December 18th) charity Fire Walk which is taking place at The George Pub in Lambourn and in memory of Tyrone Williams. Chris is also joined in the studio by Simon Hobden and Lucia Sugden (pic below) from The Hungerford Printing Company who will be chatting about their business and the studio space they’re offering to any local creative home businesses to rent on a weekly rotational basis. There’s also local and national news items together with lots of Christmas tunes for the listeners to enjoy

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny

Penny will be phoning in ‘Live’ from Great Shefford Primary school for this year’s Reindeer Run. Penny will be interviewing children and parents as they take part in what should be a fun Christmas activity.

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

There’s some fantastic racing at National Hunt racing’s HQ this weekend, this being Cheltenham. With 2 days of competitive racing at the Gloucestershire rack Pat and Tim will preview a number of the key races and hopefully find the 4LEGS listeners a winner or two.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Old Wild Men

The theme to this week’s OWM is Climate Change and Saving the Planet. Nearly all of the tracks have a message of warning or hope. With music from ELO, Led Zeppelin, Gene Kelly, Dione Warwick, Take That and many more there should be something for most people’s musical tastes.

1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Tim’s back with another show of Poptastical questions for you to answer. No doubt there will be the usual Connections round to get the brain box going.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester (The 2020 Christmas Show)

With Tim & Linda away this week we go back to their Christmas show from 2020 to get you in the festive mood
