What’s On 2021-10-29

Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This week Pete’s featured artist at 8 will be Olivia Rodrigo. Her first No. 1 single “Drivers Licence” was released at the beginning of this year and quickly broke Spotify’s record, twice, for the most daily streams. Since then, her songs have dominated the charts. Once again, the rest of the music is selected to start off your day from seven to nine in just the right mood. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Today’s Yabber Yabber is all about the winners of the Lambourn Valley Lockdown Hero awards winners. The High Sheriff of Berkshire Willie Hartley-Russell (pic right) and awards sponsor Keith Fryer from Fort Builders Merchants at Membury will be in the studio to present the awards to winners Julie Blogg (pic left) from Lambourn, Dave Riley from Eastbury, Deana & Danny Carpenter from East Garston (pic right) and Laura Field from Great Shefford. Chris will chat to each of the winners about the extra mile they’ve gone to help people in the community during the COVID pandemic.

11am – 12.15pm This Week with Penny

With the High Sheriff of Berkshire visiting us to present the awards to the winners of the Lockdown Hero Awards he’s taken the opportunity to meet with some of the individuals who help run the community groups that do fantastic work to help support people in the Lambourn Valley. Penny will be joining the High Sheriff  for some live chat as he meets with Julie Blogg from the Lambourn Junction, Brian Watson (pic left) from Racing Welfare plus Jane McCarthy and Andrew Abbott from the Lambourn Volunteer Drivers

12.15 - 1pm Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

With one week to go until the end of the flat season Pat and Chris will talk about it’s highlights and lowlights. Plus can they find you a winner at Newmarket’s last meeting of the year or maybe for the Bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby?

1pm – 1.30pm The Fort DIY Show with Keith Fryer

COP26 is the big environmental meeting that starts next week so today’s Fort DIY Show with Keith Fryer is looking at Carbon and Co2, so it should be Fizzy! Keith will also talk about Carbon Miles – where Fort can help people to build using local timber.

1.30pm – 2.30pm Classical Gas with Chris Booth

Classical Gas this week features sex and drugs and baroque n ‘roll. Hear the best bits from the Jagger and Lloyd-Webbers of their time, Vivaldi and Handel.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim find some ghostly stories, look back at some contrasting lives from Al Capone to Guy Fawkes and Cat Stevens, learn of some quirky places to post a letter and check out the Watermill Theatre (see pic).
