7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Pete’s featured band this week is Guns ‘N’ Roses, the hard rock band from California. Their sixth studio  album Chinese Democracy produced an estimated $14 million is the most expensive rock album in history. Their 2016 Not in This Lifetime…Tour, became the third highest grossing concert tour on record, grossing over $584 million by it’s conclusion in 2019. 

As always, the rest of the music is selected to start off your day from 7 to 9 in just the right mood. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11.25am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Jacquie Holt (pic) is today’s guest on Yabber Yabber and she’s travelled all the way from Bournemouth to talk about the Read Easy Charity for whom she’s a volunteer. In excess of 2.4 million adults in England cannot read or can barely read and Jacquie who has recently trained as a reading coach, talks about her role, the Ready Easy Charity and how other people can volunteer.

Also on today’s show there’s news of Hungerford Town’s recent games and their important FA Cup 4th Qualifying Tie against Bromley on Saturday. Chris also announces the Lambourn and Eastbury winners of the Lockdown Hero Awards. There is of course local and national news items and great tunes to enjoy as well.

11.25am – 12noon On the Fence with Michael Quinn

This week Michael speaks with Jojo Re’em (pic right), a family friend who has gone through his own personal battle with mental health issues

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

It’s Qipco Champions Day as Ascot on Saturday with over £2 million prize money on offer across the 6 races. Pat and Chris will spin through some of the fancied runners in each race and will hopefully find you a winner or two as well.

12.30pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny

This week Penny will be chatting with Colline Watts and Clare Middleton, the brains behind Educafe, West Berkshire’s first community cafe in Newbury. Educafe is normally every Wednesday in The Globe Pub’s indoor garden but they are hosting a special World Food Day cafe this Saturday will lots of delicious international cuisine to enjoy. Plus Penny will be announcing the East Garston winner of the Lockdown Hero Award.

1.30pm - 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

More great questions and great tunes for all you music buffs out there. It’s  another round of the popular 4LEGS Pop Quiz hosted by Mr Pop Quizzical himself Tim Stutt.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda announce the Shefford winner of the Lockdown Hero award. We also find out which poem is the nation’s favourite, look at the life of the Beatles’ favourite group, encounter Bob Mortimer (see pic) and Gyles Brandreth at a Literary Festival and listen to some voices from History. Plus lots of music.
