Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Pete’s featured artist at eight is Barbara Streisand who’s career spans over six decades achieving success in multiple fields of entertainment. She is among the few performers awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony as well as album sales alone exceeding 150 million copies.

This, plus music chosen to start off your day from seven to nine in just the right mood. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11.30am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Ryan O’Connell (pic right) is cycling from his hometown of Crawley in West Sussex to all 21 football clubs in the National League South Division over the next few months to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. He joins Chris on the phone to talk about this immense challenge and his soft spot for Hungerford Town FC. On the subject of Hungerford Town FC Chris met with their Manager Danny Robinson (pic left) in the week to talk about their fine win against Cirencester in the FA Cup third qualifying round. Their next opponents are Bromley and should Hungerford win they’ll be in the FA Cup 1st round proper. There’s also a brief update from club Chairman Patrick Chambers plus local event information, interesting national news items and great tunes. Enjoy!

11.30am – 12noon This Week with Penny

Penny speaks with Penny Brewer and Ruth Andreski from Lambourn Environmental Group who explain their exciting plans for tree planting in the village and how everyone can get involved next month with spades at the ready!

12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

Pat and Chris look back at last weekend’s Prix De l’Arc De Triomphe where there was a surprise winner of the race. They also look ahead to top class racing at Newmarket which includes the Group 1 Dewhirst Stakes  plus there’s great jumping action at Chepstow as the National Hunt season gets well and truely underway. 

12.30pm – 1.30pm The Finance & Legal Show with Karen Salmon

On today’s show Karen (pic left) will be joined by Peyton Matthews-Hewer (pic right) the solicitor trainee from Marlborough Law, Steve Perkins (below left from Claritas Accountancy, and Mark Begg (below right) from Mark Begg Asset Management. Their subject matter this month is loans and financing.

1.30pm – 2.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

On this month’s Gardening Show, our green fingered duo Linda and Jane will be talking about shrubs for winter interest, the housekeeping rules for pots, canes and compost and the best time to plant tulip bulbs and why. Plus lots of tips on the garden jobs which need doing now.

 

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim look at the ways some people conserve petrol, check out how household jobs are divided, find out more about Joni Mitchell’s life story (pic) and read some royal letters. Plus lots of music, sone familiar and some not.

4.30pm - 5.30pm Old Wild Men with Max & Tobi

Those Old Wilds Men are back with another selection of their favourite and in some cases, somewhat different tunes. On today’s show the focus in the main is on female artists and there’s some great music from Bonny Raitt, Ella Fitzgerald, Imelda May  and Susan Boyle (pic) who sings her brilliant version of a Rolling Stones classic.
