Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
This week Pete’s featured band at 8:00 is Simply Red. Formed in Manchester in 1985, the band have had 10 Top Ten singles and 5 No. 1 albums in the UK charts with sales of over 50 million albums globally. As usual, the rest of the music mix is designed to start your day in “happy” mode. Don’t miss it!
9am – 12noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Cy Grove from the NAWT at Trindledown will join Chris to give the latest news and events happening at the Animal Welfare Centre. Also in the studio will be Newbury College Media Student Jack Simmons who’s been gaining work experience at 4LEGS Radio over the past few weeks. Jack will be helping to run the radio desk and will be talking to Chris about his aspirations and playing some music of his choice. The final guest is Nathan Horrocks from Equine productions. Nathan caught up with Chris earlier in the week from his new home in California to talk about a film he’s made called “The Fall” which focuses on mental health in the Racing Industry, which will be broadcast on Sky later this year. There’ll also be nuggets of useful information, local event news, Chris’s brand of music and what the experts are saying about England’s chance of winning Euro 2020 on Sunday. Enjoy!
12noon - 12.45pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy
Pat and Chris are back with a look at this week in racing plus they preview this weekend’s Newmarket July meeting culminating in the Group 1 Darley July Cup on Saturday. Hopefully they’ll find you a winner or two and they pick their selections for the Napster competition
12.45pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny
1.30pm - 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
More poptastic head scrathers from the 4LEGS Radio King of the Pops. Great tunes, great questions and great fun.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
Linda returns to Face2Face with Tim and this week, we have our first 2021 guest visiting the studio. Our local expert Peter Birtwhistle (pic) will tell us all about the night sky whilst the programme will also feature flying cars, strange local headlines, German love letters and some strict school class rules, all about smiling. And we might even mention the football.
