7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
It’s the last Friday of May and at last, the weather is warming up! Start your day with another two hours of music selected to get you going with a smile. Pete’s featured artist this week, following the news at 8, is Paul McCartney, one of the most successful composers and performers of all time. Pete will be looking ast his success as a solo artist. Don’t miss it!
9am – 11.15am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris is joined on the phone by long time friend Deborah Daley (pic), who’s a successful author of Children’s books including “The Long Ears Legacy” which is a fantasy about a young heroin called Lizzie Longton. Deborah will be talking about the ups and downs of becoming an author and the process of self-publishing your own books. Plus there’ll be the next in the series of ‘where are they now’, more informative audios and music from artists beginning with the letter ‘C’. Enjoy!
11.15am – 12noon This week with Penny
This week Penny finds out about the brilliant season of free talks and workshops on mental health and wellbeing starting this week, organised by Andrea Hodgking (pic top left) from Hungerford Hub & Library and Emma Milne-White from Hungerford Bookshop. Part of West Berkshire’s Surviving to Thriving initiative, the events include gardening, fitness, sleep, writing and poetry. Plus she’ll be talking to Tobi Corney about his art classes that resume in Eastbury next week.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
Pat and Chris will look back at last weekends Irish Classics from The Curragh and look forward to the weekend’s racing action including two Group 3 races from Haydock Park. Plus they’ll choose their horse in this week’s ‘Napster’ competition.
12.30pm - 1.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
It looks like Spring has finally sprung so will Tim be teasing you with songs and questions that have a sunshine and happy feel about them? You’ll have to tune in to find out?
1.30pm – 2.30pm The 4LEGS Gardening Show with Linda & Jane
This month, Linda and Jane review a wet month for gardening, assess the best compost options, review herbs and climbers and provide the lowdown on trips to Buscot Park and Perch Hill(see pic). Plus lots of tips on looking after your garden at a busy time of year.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
This week, on Face2Face, Linda and Tim put on detective hats to appraise the strange case of the body on the beach, debate the rights of a noisy cockerel, take a look at what is going on in the trains of the future and peek back at a festival 70 years ago. Plus another look at the life of a well-known figure in the entertainment world.
