9am – 12noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Moz Bulbeck Reynolds the recently appointed Chair of Lambourn Parish Council (LPC) joins Chris in the studio. The subjects they’ll be covering are how the LPC is structured, responsibilities, the legal impact the pandemic is having with LPC meetings, immediate priorities which includes communications and the forthcoming election for LPC posts. Also with Eurovision upon us Chris will be playing clips of the UK entries between 1957 (when it began) and 1977, but can you name the artists / songs? Plus there’s the next in the series of ‘where are they now, more informative audios and great music from artists beginning with the letter ‘B.’ Enjoy!
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy
With the sad passing this week of legendry jockey Joe Mercer (pic), Pat and Chris will look back at his incredible career in the saddle. They’ll also preview the quality racing at Goodwood, Haydock, Newmarket and York over the weekend. Plus they’ll make their selection in the third round of the ‘Napster’ competition.
12.30pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny
Penny get’s the latest update on International and National travel from Veronica Bailey at Fare Wise Travel in Hungerford. Plus Penny catches up with Penny Brookman from our local Morris Dancing side, the Garston Gallopers (pic). They are so pleased to be able to meet up to practice again and welcome new members. It’s a good gentle exercise and lots of fun. No previous experience required!
