With COVID restrictions being eased for the Entertainment and Hospitality industries next week most of today’s guests are from local businesses and organisations that are looking forward to re-opening. Danielle Hartnett (right) from Goodies Cafe in Lambourn and Graham White from The Plough in Eastbury will be telling us what to expect from Monday onwards. Plus Ceri Hanlon from the team that operate the Rose of Hungerford canal boat on the Kennet & Avon will be sharing news of the new spring & summer schedule. Plus Sam Wyne (below) from Hogans Music will be talking about their initiative to encourage people to learn to play an instrument. Chris Carter Brennan hosts today’s Downlands Racing Show and will look back at the events from this week in sport. It’s another weekend of high class racing with the big race being The Group 1 Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday. This week Penny talks to Tracey Major from the Swindon Big Knit at The Orbital about how their volunteers knit squares that are made into blankets for people in need. Two and a half hours of Face2Face for you to enjoy this week. On today’s show Linda and Tim look back at the life of a favourite TV actor; we find out whether Linda is ‘U’ or ‘Non U’; also why the French PM is besieged by knickers; and you’ll learn about the village where the lines got crossed. All very entertaining stuff.
