Here’s what’s on Fabulous 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

It’s the first Friday in May and Pete’s starting the day with two hours of “great get you going” music. This week, following the news at 8, Pete’s featured Artist of the Week is The Spice Girls. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris’s telephone guest today is Alison Prudden (pic) whos’ the Principal Community Learning Officer at West Berks Council. Alison will be talking about 2 new initiatives. The first is a FREE advanced employability training for people returning to work. The second is  a survey  to help develop a wide and varied lifelong learning service that supports people at every stage of their lives. Also on today’s show there’s another short story that’s been written by 4LEGS Brian Quinn, the third in the series of ‘where are they now’ more informative audios and of course some great tunes. 11am – 11.30am The DIY Show with Keith Fryer

Keith Fryer from Forte Builders Merchants in Membury presents the 4LEGS quarterly DIY show. Although business is booming in the DIY trade there are still issues getting hold of materials, especially timber and costs to both the Builders Merchant and the customer are increasing as a result. Could someone on an Australian radio phone-in know the reason  why? 

11.30am – 12noon On the Fence with Michael Quinn

This week Michael’s subject is the ill fated European Super League and discusses the impact and fallout with lifelong Chelsea fan, Lee Allen (pic).

12noon - 12.45pm The Downlands Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan

Pat and Chris will be looking back at last weeks’ first two classics of the flat season, the 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas to determine if there’s any pointers for The Oaks and The Derby in one months time. Plus there’s another busy weekend of racing action where they hope to find you a winner or two

12.45pm – 1.30pm This Week with Penny

This week Penny catches up with Julie Blogg (pic) who juggles two hats in Lambourn. Julie runs Market Hair salon which has been full on since they re-opened on 12 April and also has exciting news about the future of The Lambourn Junction which has been supporting residents in need during lockdown and beyond.

1.30pm - 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

You’ve another chance to listen to a Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt from a year ago. Not giving too much away be prepared for a few questions on the Eurovision Song Contest.

2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda visit Perch Hill and admire the gardens, check out the history of Marmite, find out about a DOCG and tell the story of a cat which returned home after 13 years. Plus the life of Les Dawson (pic) and non stop summer music to inspire the return of some sunshine.
