11.45am – 12.15pm This Week with Penny

Penny interviews Zia Miles and her father Jodie

Over Christmas 7 year old Zia Miles from Lambourn decided she wanted to do something to help others during lockdown. With her parents, she decided to raise money to help children who are struggling with mental health problems during these difficult times. Zia and her Dad Jodie recorded a song called ‘I’m With You’. This lovely song is Zia’s response from her heart to the current crisis that we all find ourselves in – and it is also a tribute to how therapeutic music can be during times of stress.

They have set up a Just Giving Page justgiving.com/fundraising/imwithyou where people can listen to the song and make a donation to the ‘Place2Be‘ charity which provides mental health services to help kids in schools across the UK.

So if you enjoy this interview and Zia’s song, please make a donation to the Place2Be charity, especially as we are now in Children’s Mental Health Week (1-7 February)
