Great music, local news and informative audios are the order of the day on this week’s Yabber Yabber.
Plus there’ll be the first of two trips down memory lane when you can listen to people talking from the racing community in Lambourn from the 1980’s which was originally broadcast on BBC Radio4’s ‘Down Your Way’ programme. Conducting today’s interviews is the great Brian Johnston who chats to trainers Peter Walwyn and Fred Winter (pic) plus saddler Bert Cross, 
farrier Roy Alderton and Lambourn church warden Jack Wing. A great listen.
12noon - 12.30pm Downlands Racing with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter Brennan
It’s a New Year and although we’re in lockdown Racing continues to provide much needed sporting entertainment. Today Pat and Chris will be previewing a fantastic weekend’s racing including the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow, The Relkeel Grade 2 hurdle at Kempton and the Dipper Grade 2 Novices Chase at Wincanton.
12.30pm – 1.30pm This week with Penny
This week Penny will be catching up with Dr Faith Culshaw (pic) who is co-chair of Wantage Cafe Scientifique. Cafe Scientifique 
is a series of free monthly talks for the general public on a wide range of scientifique topics ranging from organic soil to stardust. The talks currently take place on zoom on the second Tuesday of the month. Next week’s topic is Beehives and Space Technology.
Penny and Chris will also be chatting about New Year’s Resolutions and their hopes for 2021.
1.30pm - 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Tim kicks off 2021 with another great Pop Quizzical to get your teeth stuck into. With music from all genres there’s questions for everyone in this popular quiz.
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On the first Face2Face of the New Year, Tim and Linda check out New Year resolutions, find some good news stories, try out a quiz that’s harder than it looks, investigate a new Dame and discover an ambassador who sings in a multitude of languages.
