The West Berkshire Fundraising Group really need your help this December as weaim to raise enough for 12 brand new guide dogs with our special ‘12 Guide Dogs of Christmas Collection’.
Every six minutes in the UK, one more person loses their sight. Despite all the challenges we all face, Guide Dogs remains committed to supporting those people live the life they choose. We rely on donations from the public to keep our life-changing services running – less than 1% of our income comes from government funding.
As a group we’ve been unable to carry out our usual collections and events since March, and with all Guide Dogs fundraising groups in the same situation across the UK, this could equate to a loss of £870,000 this year.
December is always a great time for us to collect with everyone in the festive
spirit. We know people really enjoy meeting our ‘four-legged’ fundraisers and
they will be especially missed this Christmas. We are joining together with the400+ other fundraising groups across the UK from the 1st to the 12th of December to showcase 12 of our doggy fundraisers virtually and try to raise enough to fund 12 new guide dogs!

Thank you so much. We know times are really difficult at the moment, but for
people with sight loss, social isolation can be their every day. Together we
can make a real difference to them this Christmas!
