9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris will have the usual mix of local information, news and his brand of great tunes. He’ll be joined on the phone by Penny Locke who’ll be talking about a food & artisan market she’s running in Hungerford on Sunday and news of this years Hungerford Food Festival. She’ll also be plugging a 12 hour gig-a-thon being performed by local singer / songwriter Mike Hawthorne (pic) on Saturday to raise money for local charities that are having difficulties this year due to Covid-19.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny – guest host Brian Quinn
On this week’s show Brian Quinn takes the reins and talks to David Ruse (pic), the Chairman of East Garston Parish Council, about the response to the pandemic from local voluntary groups, parishes and West Berkshire Council. Plus you can listen to one of Brian’s music compositions about growing old.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy & Chris Carter-Brennan
Pat and Chris preview the weekends action with feature races at Haydock and Newmarket. They’ll also look back at the final 2 days at the Glorious Goodwood festival and pay tribute to trainer and jockey extraordinaire Stan Mellor (pic), who sadly passed away earlier this week.
12.30 – 1.30pm The 4LEGS Gardening Show with Linda & Jane
Gardening gurus Linda and Jane are talking wedding flowers, filling the gaps, and what has gone right and wrong during lockdown. That includes recycling, making our own compost and pesky pests.
1.30 – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Tim’s back with a brand new set of pop questions to get your teeth into in this poptastic quiz. Great music, great questions and great fun. Enjoy!
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Linda &Tim Forrester
This week on Face2Face, Linda and Tim announce which charity Joshua and the Great Shefford pub will be supporting for the next twelve months. They also have plenty more local news, a new music hero, a feature on quirky name connections and bizarre book titles, and lots of music from singer/songwriters.
