What’s on 2020-06-19

Here’s this Fridays’ Fabulous 4LEGS Radio schedule. Enjoy!
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
Start Friday with great music. The icing on the cake is this week’s featured artist, Annie Lennox. Don’t miss it!

9am – 12 noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel……
Chris will have a co-host on today’s show in the shape of his grandson Morgan Wheeler. With schools and colleges

closed since March, Morgan will talk about the impact it’s had on him from both a social and educational perspective and what his hopes and aspirations are when he finally gets back to college, whenever that might be. Plus there’ll be local news, Chris’s brand of music and another classic clip from a comedian or Radio/TV show. Enjoy!

12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy and Chris Carter Brennan

Pat and Chris will look back at last weekend’s Iris Guineas and the first three days of Royal Ascot. They’ll also preview the weekends action at the Berkshire Course

12.30pm – 1.20pm This week with Penny

Penny catches up Ruth Jordan (pic right) who has just re-opened Priscilla’s Kitchen in East Garston for take-aways yesterday. Penny also finds out about Mike Hissey in Grove’s new fundraising venture to raise money for a special bike for a disabled boy in Grove.  Any one in the Lambourn Valley can order an aerial photo of their home and garden for £45 from Mike in aid of this great cause. Local trainer Jo Davis gives an update from her yard as she prepares for her first runners in July.

1.20pm – 2.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Suzi chats with Vicar Julie Mintern (pic left) to hear her latest thoughts of how Lambourn villagers are faring after 11 weeks of lockdown. In their fifth chat the discussion turns to the Lambourn Junction and the impact of it being removed from its current home by the Lambourn Parish Council. Suzi also catches up with Helen Noll (pic right) about the roller coaster ride that the Lambourn Volunteers have been experiencing. After receiving a community award from Laura Farris MP, the Lambourn Junction suddenly found themselves without a home.

2.30pm – 2.40pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim hear the views of the staff and pupils of Chaddleworth St Andrews and Shefford Primary School. We have contributions from children of all ages plus the sage comments of acting Headteacher Alison Stephenson. How is the return to school going? Was home learning a success? What are the future plans? And have you seen any young pirates? Don’t miss it.
