Here’s this Fridays’ Fabulous 4LEGS Radio schedule. Enjoy!
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
Glorious sunshine and sound. A great way to start your day. This week’s featured band – Fleetwood Mac. Don’t Miss it!
9am – 12 noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
On today’s show Chris is talking to Mike Grainger (pic left), who is a Financial Coach, and will be looking at ways that families can help to protect themselves from Financial challenges during these
difficult times. Plus we’ll hear from local racehorse trainer Clive Cox (pic right) about his plans for the flat season which starts on Monday after a 3 month delay, with questions from 4LEGS racing expert Pat Murphy as well.
12noon – 12.30pm This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest this week is composer and musician James C Johnson (known locally as Jim) who set up his first band in the late sixties with Brian Eno and has toured with the likes of Peter Green, founder of Fleetwood Mac and Black Sabbath drummer Cozy Powell (who also lived locally and was a dear friend). Jim is selling copies of his inspiring World Anthem to raise money for the Hungerford Self-Isolation Group. Penny’s second guest is
Ruth Jordan (right) who runs Priscilla’s Kitchen in East Garston and will be giving an update on her delivery menus and an indication of when she might be able to re-open the cafe.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Suzi has 2 guests on Friday’s show. First she chats to Chloe Martin, from Racing Welfare, during Mental Health Awareness week and discovers how the charity is supporting those in the horse racing industry to negotiate the difficulties presented by the corona virus crisis. The second guest is Rachel Jannaway (pic right) who talks to Suzi about cake. The Lambourn
Bakers evolved as a spin-off from the Lambourn Volunteer Support group and are providing boxes of home-made cakes, not only to the key-workers in the village, but to those for whom isolation from friends and family is particularly gruelling at this time.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Another hour of the 4LEGS popular music quiz with music throughout the ages to answer questions about which includes the very tricky Connections round.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim and Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda’s subjects range from bees playing football to the American Civil War and from Frank Sinatra to white tigers.
