Another day of entertaining shows on 4 LEGS Radio this Friday 27th September .
We’ll kick off with wondefrul tunes to get your day started followed by an update on the project to restore a WWII Dakota and bring it back to Membury. There’s chat with the Valley’s latest new pub landlord and a look ahead to the weekend’s racing. We’ll also get the latest from the chairman of a local football team and there’s an interview with the new vicar of the Lambourn Benefice. Plus we’ll find out from a doctor how plastics can be used to create energy. All this plus local news, details of local events and of course some great music.

8am – 10am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
It’s the last Friday of the month and Pete (pic) has 2 hours of great sounds to get you going.
Starting with the latest from The Pet Shop Boys you will hear hits from Madonna, The Jonas Brothers, Ben E King, The Eurythmics, Odyssey, David Essex and a host of other musical stars. As usual, Pete will feature one of the music world’s great talents at 9am. This time it’s U2.

10am -11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
Chris will be joined in the studio by Charlie Walker (pic) who will provide an update of the project to restore a WWII C-47 (Dakota) and bring it back to Membury. Will it be flying over the skies of the Lambourn some time soon? Tune in to find out.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest this week is Joshua Khan (pic) who re-opened The Great Shefford pub three weeks ago. It’s been a full on time and Joshua is coming back into the studio to let us know how he has been getting on.
12noon – 1pm The Downland Racing Show with guest presenter Chris Carter Brennan.
With Pat otherwise engaged 4 LEGS Radio welcomes back presenter and racing expert Chris Carter Brennan (pic) who’ll tak a look at the weekends racing and the chances of some of our local horses. He’ll also take a sneak preview at next weekend’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
1pm – 1.30pm The 4 LEGS Local sports show
Chris will be chatting on the phone to Patrick Chambers (pic) of Hungerford Town F.C, to find out how the season’s going so far and the highs and lows he’s experienced since he was appointed as chairman. There’ll be results from Newbury’s ladies football team as well as announcements of winners of golf competitions and matches at West Berks G.C.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns
Suzi chats with the Reverend Julie Mintern (pic) who has taken over as the vicar of The Lambourn Valley Benefice which includes the parish of St Michaels & All Angels Church in Lambourn, All Saints in East Garson and St James the Greater in Eastbury and discovers why the pied piper is relevant to her journey.

2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Pat Heslop and Chris Capel
With Tim Forrester away in Japan watching the World Cup Pat is joined by co-presenter Chris Capel. Today’s guest is Dr Peter Cox who will be discussing how to make use of the incredibly high energy potential of unrecyclable plastics. He’s happy to take any questions so listeners can do so by texting them through on 07418310510. Also Tim Forrester will be reporting from Japan where the focus will be more about the culture of Japan rather than the Rugby World Cup!
