Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This week Pete’s Featured Artist is Elkie Brooks an English rock,
blues and jazz singer. She was a vocalist with Vinegar Joe and later became a solo artist.

She gained her biggest success in the late 1970s and 1980s
and she has been nominated twice for the Brit Awards. Don ‘t miss it!  

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris will be taking a look at ‘This Day in Music’ history and at some of the stories and events making the news in and around the Newbury area. Plus, he’ll be playing a mixture of great tunes from the 60s and 70s. 

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny & Brian

Join Penny and Brian for a round up of some of the local stories and events making the headlines in the Lambourn Valley and surrounding area

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

Chris looks back at events during the past 7 days in the racing world and previews the weekend’s ‘Dubai Future Champions Festival’ at Newmarket.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Musical Themes of the small screen

Chris Booth and Chris Capel will be playing and talking about a selection of television ‘musical charms’ that have surrounded our living rooms over the past 60+ years from TV News themes to TV Science fiction.

1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Another hour of musical conundrums and tunes from across the decades with your regualy ‘Pop Quizzical’ quizmaster Tim Stutt.

2.30pm - 3.30pm The D.I.Y. Show with Keith Fryer

,In his show this week,  expert DIY presenter, Keith Fryer, from Forte Builders Merchants at Membury, will be talking about  the importance of  accurate estimates  when arranging building work, and how to manage the process so it goes as smoothly as possible. 

He will  also talk about the impact on building work of global events; how the price of oil and gas is causing severe strains and what can be done to control some of the increases.

3.30pm - 5.20pm The Retro Radio Show with Andy Henly

Every week, Andy brings back the memories of the best days of your life by playing the biggest hits of the past.

You can contribute by telling him about your favourite TV whilst growing up, playing the school days challenge and seeing if you can remember what you were taught in class.
