My Featured Artist this week is Fleetwood Mac, a British and American rock band formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 120 million records worldwide. Their 1977 album, Rumours, is one of the best-selling albums of all time and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1978. In 1979, they were honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in 1998 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. 9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel
My guests in the studio are Matt and Kim Gore, the new owners of West Berks Golf Club. They’ll be chatting about several topics including why their family made the decision to buy the golf club, what their immediate and future plans are for the club and a bit about Matt and Kim themselves. I’ll also be playing some clips from a well known TV comedy plus of course a mixture of great music.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny and Brian
Joining Penny and Brian is East Garston Parish Councillor Hamish Riddoch who will be talking about why the People’s Emergency Briefing will be shown in
East Garston and Lambourn next week. Plus, they’ll take the weekly look at events and news from the valley and surrounding area.
12noon - 12.30pm the Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan
There’s some fabulous racing at the Newmarket the HQ of flat racing, this weekend with 2 Group 1 races and 2 Group 2 races, these being the Cheveley Park Stake and the Middle Park Stakes. Plus there’s the class 2 Cambridgeshire handicap. There’s a lot for Chris to get through in 30 minutes to hopefully find you a winner or two.

We have some amazing people living in our midst and I felt that we need to know more about them, their careers, or their achievements. So, where should we start? As many listeners will know, Pete Brady (pic right from the 60s) is quite a legend and I’m looking forward to having an opportunity to speak to Pete and see if we can get a close look into his amazing career. For any of you old enough to remember right back to the pirate ships, the start of Radio 1, the arrival of Magpie as a more edgy competitor to Blue Peter and maybe even further back, this is going to be a wonderful trip down memory lane.
