Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This Friday it’s it’s another two hours of great music. The Featured Artist at 8 is Dusty Springfield who had a distinctive Mezzo-soprano voice. Her repertoire included blue-eyed soul, pop, and dramatic ballads, along with French chanson, country, and jazz. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

I’ll be joined by Adrian Watson (pic) who’s one of the volunteers for the Lambourn Shed (pic right) and he’ll explain how they get involved with a number of D.I.Y projects in the Valley. With the sad passing of comedian and presenter Bill Oddie earlier this week I’ll be paying a tribute to him by playing a clip from a radio comedy show he was part of, I’ve also some stories and events from the Newbury area and of course some great tunes. 

11am – 11.30am This Week with Deborah & Brian

Deborah Phillips Joins Brian this week and they provide some of the local news events from the Valley and surrounding area.

11.30am - 12noon The Local Eco Show

We interview company and club directors about becoming future energy secure swapping fossil fuel dependency for a solar panel and battery installation on a local sports facility. There are many domestic installations of solar panels but not so much awareness about larger community buildings having them. So it is very exciting to find out how this has come about at the  West Berks Indoor Bowling Club on Pyle Hill, in Newbury. This is a story about community resilience and sustainability.

12noon – 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

It’s Glorious Goodwood week and Chris reviews the first 3 days of the festival and previews the final 2 days which includes the Group 2 King George Qatar Stakes on Friday and the Coral Stewards Cup handicap on Saturday. 

12.30pm – 1.30pm Classical Gas with Chris Booth

In this weeks Classical Gas Chris Booth will be playing some of the most moving short pieces of Classical music written for the Piano. Featuring well know soothing music from the composers of the 19th 20th and 21st Century composers to help sooth you into your weekend.

1.30pm - 2.30pm The Gardening Show with Linda & Jane

This month’s Gardening Show Linda and Jane concentrate on gardening in a changing climate with an emphasis on drought tolerant plants.

2.30pm – 3.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Tim’s back after a 2 month break with another round of music questions from across the genres. Do you think you have a good knowledge of Music? If so see how many points you can get when Tim poses a variety of different music questions.

3.30pm - 5.20pm The Retro Radio Show with Andy Henly
