What’s On 2026-05-01

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

This week my Featured Artist is Chic, an American disco band founded in 1972 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. Between 1972 and 1979, Chic released several of the biggest hits of the disco era, including “Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)”, “Le Freak” and “I Want Your Love”. The group regarded themselves as a rock band for the disco movement “that made good on hippie peace, love and freedom”. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Plus, Brian interviews Hungerford Town Councillor Jerry Keates (pic right) about last weekends’s parade and ceremony to award the 6th Armoured Close Support Battalion REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) the freedom of the town. On the same subject Penny talks about the food that was prepared for the event by local suppliers.
