Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio – Happy Easter to all the 4LEGS listeners

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

On this Easter Bank Holiday Friday, as well as two hours of get the weekend going music my Featured Artist at 8 is Manfred Mann, a band that was prominent in the Swinging London scene in the 1960s. Don’t miss it!

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

My guest on this Good Friday’s Yabber Yabber is Geordie Taylor (pic right) who’s the Treasurer of Hungerford Town Football Club amongst other things. He’ll be talking about a fundraising event to walk 28km between Whitstable and Margate to raise money for ‘Men’s Minds Matter’ and ‘Suicide&co’. The charities were chosen by his friend Lesley Thompson who recently lost her son Mattie Thompson.  The link to the fundraising page is below:

I’ll also be taking you back to radio comedy from the 60s when you can enjoy another very funny episode of “I’m Sorry I’ll Read that Again”. Plus, I’ll take a look back at ‘This Day in Music History’

11am – 12noon This Week with Penny & Brian

Penny and Brian look at what’s been making the news locally and further afield including some of the bigger stories of the week.

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing with Chris Carter Brennan

The racing on Good Friday is all about the valuable flat all-weather championships at both Newcastle and Lingfield. Whilst Saturday has a valuable National Hunt fixture at Haydock Park which includes the Unibet Middle Distance Veteran’s handicap chase series final worth £50,000 to the winner. Chris will be trawling through the form for both race days and hopefully find the 4LEGS listeners a winner or two to set the Easter Weekend off well.  

 

12.30pm – 2.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, Linda and Tim plan to talk about  middle children, a fox, hedgehogs, super liners, the dog vote, old fashioned jobs, April the 1st, Dame Jenny Murray and Dolores Keane. But you never know. The music will include Rod Stewart, Dire Straits and Echo & The Bunnymen
