Spring is in the air….not! But never mind we’ve another great days’ broadcasting on 4 Legs Radio for you to enjoy. Starting with 2 hours of great music including hits from The Rolling Stones. There’s interviews with staff and clients at West Berks Mencap, news of the plans for this years’ Lambourn Carnival, and a special 90 minute preview of the Cheltenham Festival which takes place next week. There’s another chance to listen to a previous Pop quiz and we’ll be talking bees and what they’ll be busy doing as the temperature begins to warm up, we hope. There’ll also be the usual round up of local news events and a variety of music.
7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
As usual, Pete kicks off with a 2 hour mix of great non-stop music selected to get you going with a smile on your face. Add the featured band “The Rolling Stones” and you have the perfect recipe. Don’t miss it!
9am – 11am The Yabber Yabber Show with Chris Capel
The main topic today on the show is charity West Berks Mencap. Chris was fortunate enough to spend some time this week at one of their premises in Newbury and interviewed CEO Sarah Vaughan (pic) and deputy CEO Jane Hall to find out what the charity is all about. Chris also took the opportunity to talk with other staff members and clients, one of which starred in a pantomime they performed that day.
11am – 12noon This Week with Penny
Penny’s guest this week is Louise Wilkin (pic) from Lambourn Carnival Committee who will be bringing us up to date with this year’s exciting carnival plans and appealing for new people to join their team.
12noon – 1.30pm The Downland Racing Show – Cheltenham Festival 2020 Preview
Join Pat Murphy and Chris Carter-Brennan for an entertaining 90 minute Cheltenham Festival preview. They’ll take a look at a number of the big races taking place throughout the week and will do their level best to find you a few winners. What will win the Champion Hurdle, The Queen Mother Champion Chase or Gold Cup? Maybe Pat and Chris will have the answers? Tune in to find out.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Another chance to hear a previous Pop Quizzical from last year. Will you still remember the answers? I very much doubt it. For anyone who’s not listened to the quiz before you’ll need your music thinking cap on to get anything above 4 points.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2face with Pat Heslop and Chris Capel
On Face2Face this week with Tim away galavanting, Chris Capel will be co-hosting with Pat. With spring hopefully in the air what are the bees doing in our gardens. To answer that question and many more Adrian and Chris Doyle (pic) from Hillside House Honey will be in the studio. With cleanliness very much on people’s mind can bees provide us with soap? There’ll also be the usual array of local news items, events and stories plus all kinds of music.
