The East Garston Village Fete takes pace on Saturday August 31 and all are welcome. There will be lots of competitions from children’s fancy dress to the celebrated dog show and from children’s races to tug of war. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the East Garston allotment association, the flower and produce show will be a major feature. Classes include vegetables, flowers, flower arranging, baking, jam making and there will be lots for children too.The deadline for produce entries is 10am on Saturday morning.
There will be face painting, bouncy slide, a coconut shy and donkey rides plus a lot more. See www.eastgarston-pc.gov.uk for full details. The fete opens at 11am and takes place on the Jubilee Meadow.
