4 LEGS RADIO BROADCAST SCHEDULE (8am – 4.30pm)
On 4 LEGS Radio this week…..
…..We’ll be keeping things cool in this heat with the usual chat from the Lambourn Valley, plus great music and local news. We’ll chat with a milliner, plus a plucky lady on her battle with tongue cancer. We’ll ‘paws’ to talk to a dog training expert and you can listen to a previous interview with Margaret Meahy and her journey with the Royal British Legion.
All this plus the Downland Racing Show, Pop Quizzical and a look into the legacy left by the Beatles.
Schedule for Friday 26th July
8am – 11am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show
A mix of the right music to start your day, a special guest and a tribute to the Beatles. Today’s guest is Janet West who recently had surgery for tongue cancer. Starting at around 8.15am, she’ll be telling Pete how she discovered this cancer, had it removed and what her plans are for the future.
Starting at 9am, the Beatles tribute will feature tracks from their main albums released between 1962 and 1969. Don’t miss it!
11am – 12 noon This Week with Penny and Tim
Woof!
On This Week with Penny will be dog and puppy trainer Rhona Wilkins from Paws 4 Transformation based in East Garston. Rhona will be talking about common dog training problems, key things to remember when socialising puppies, how behaviour and diet are linked and what body language to look out for if your dog is feeling uncomfortable with a situation.
12noon – 12.30pm The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy (Tim Forrester sitting in with Pat)
Pat will be looking back at the week in racing and previewing some of the big races at the Glorious Goodwood festival.
12.30pm – 1.30pm Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt
Tim Stutt’s back with another round of the popular music quiz. Can you improve on your score from last time? Will you crack the ‘Connections’ round with the very first clue? Listen to an hour of pop trivia to find the answers to these questions.
1.30pm – 2.30pm Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns (Re-run of a previous show with guest Margaret Leahy)
Listen again to Suzi’s interview with Margaret Leahy who has dedicated much of her life to The Royal British Legion. She details her journey to the Lambourn Valley via Botswana and the 2012 Olympics.
2.30pm – 4.30pm Face2Face with Pat and Brian
Hats on for Face2Face this week! Brian Quinn will join Pat as they interview Emma Moscow who is a milliner and designs hats for all occasions. Her calling to millinery came after she had studied at the Berkshire College of Art. Emma was fortunate enough to study under the late Queen Mother’s milliner, Rose Cory MBE. These days Emma has her studio in the heart of Berkshire where she also runs workshops.
