4 LEGS RADIO BROADCAST SCHEDULE (8am – 4.30pm)

It’s another great day’s set of broadcasts on 4 LEGS Radio. We’ll be talking to the organiser of the Berkshire Motor Show, a local cheese expert, and an enthusiast who’s restoring a World War II C-47 (Dakota). There’s also chat with a successful and entertaining Entrepreneur who’s done just about everything, plus we’ll learn from a local astronomer about an asteroid and what to look at in the night sky this summer and there’s a fascinating interview with an explorer & environmentalist.  All this and the next chapter of the series on Sir Cliff Richard and the 4 LEGS fortnightly pop quiz.

This week’s schedule:

8am – 10am  The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

Once again it’s two hours of music from eight o’clock selected to start your Friday in a great mood as well as another chapter from The Music and Life of Cliff Richard starting at Nine. Musically, Pete will be featuring hits from the past, a sprinkling of country songs as well as hits from the current top 40.

Don’t miss it!

10am – 11am  Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Chris interviews Steph Awbery (pic) who organises the annual Berkshire Motor Show and has been doing so for the past 14 years. Steph’s enthusiasm never wanes and each year the money raised from the event goes to a local charity. This year the chosen charity is South Central Ambulance Service.

Chris’s live guest is cheese expert Tony Hammond (pic) a.k.a.‘The Cheese Agent’ If you like cheese don’t miss the cheezy chat and find out about some of our artisan and local cheeses plus how Tony found himself a career with the stuff. Chris with assistance from a couple of Eastbury folk will also be sampling a variety of cheeses.

11am – 12noon  This Week with Penny

Joining Penny is Charlie Walker (pic) runs the exciting restoration project of a C-47 aircraft christened Night Fright that was based at former USA airfield Membury during WW2, which his father Philip Walker now owns. Charlie’s dream is that Night Fright will become the finest C-47 flying in the world today and the only one to be based at the airfield it operated from during the war. An experienced pilot, Charlie himself will operate and fly the aircraft.

There has been lots of media interest in the restoration process of the plane which featured in Guy Martin’s D-Day Landing which aired on Channel 4 on 2 June 2019 and was watched by over 2 million viewers.

Charlie also helps run the family business Walker Logistics at Membury which employs circa 100 staff and operates over 350,000 SQ FT of premium quality warehousing and international order fulfilment

12 noon – 12.30pm  The Downland Racing Show with Pat Murphy

Pat will be looking back at the last 2 days of Royal Ascot and preview some of the big races taking place over the weekend with any interest from local stables.

12.30pm – 1.30pm  Pop Quizzical with Tim Stutt

Another delve into the music archives as Tim sets you some tricky music questions to get you thinking during you’re lunch break. So why not take on your work colleagues and see who gets the most points? Some great music as always from the 4 LEGS Pop Master.

1.30pm – 2.30pm  Knock Knock with Suzi Cairns

Another chance to listen to Suzi’s interview with explorer and environmentalist Anabelle deChazal (pic)

2.30pm – 4.30pm  Face2Face with Tim Forrester and Pat Heslop

On Face2Face Pat and Tim have two guests this week plus more quirky stories and lots of music. Their first guest is 4 LEGS man with the telescope, Peter Birtwhistle, (pic) who surveys the stars and the asteroids and always has some new stories for us. For instance he will tell us about an asteroid which hit Puerto Rico only last Saturday.

Their second guest is Jonny Welch (pic) who describes himself as ‘a successful Entrepreneur, Promoter, Manager, Free Thinker, Creative Spirit and Mentor, Working with Talent, Corporate and Like Minded Souls To Make Magic Happen….’ He likes capital letters and is unlikely to be short of an opinion or two.
