What’s On 2025-11-21

Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

My featured artist this week is the English rock band, The Jam. They released 18 consecutive top 40 singles in the United Kingdom, from their debut in 1977 to their break-up in December 1982, including four number one hits. Plus, of course, my regular selection of two hours of “get up and go” music.
Don’t miss

9am – 10am This Week with Penny & Brian

Penny will be talking about Winter recipes and Brian will provide some of the local stories from the Valley and beyond.

10am - 12noon Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

Joining Chris in the studio is local author Roger Hunt (pic right) who talks about his historical factual and fictional book called “Vindicta”  which tells the story of James Robertson, a monk, who’s on a secret mission to persuade a Spanish General to betray Napoleon. There’s also a snippet of some classic comedy and who in the world of music was born on this day in music history. Plus, of course there’ll be some fabulous tunes to enjoy.

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

There’s more great racing this weekend for Chris to preview at Ascot and Haydock Park. The feature race at Ascot is the Grade 2 Ladbrokes Ascot Hurdle and at Haydock it’s the Grade1 Betfair Chase

Tim’s back with more rounds of Pop Quizzical music questions from musicians and artists across the genres.

On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda find out the real Home Guard story, check out the most common and the most curious pub signs, pay tribute to our hard working guide dogs and explain how cricket got its Ashes 145 years ago.  The music includes Lewis Capaldi, the Human League and Richard Thompson.
