1.30pm - 2.30pm 'Half-Light' a Radio Play by Andy Kempe
Originally written by Andy Kempe (pic) to be performed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the play wasn’t staged by The Greenham Tower Theatre Company at the Control Tower until March 2022 due to Covid. Now, in time for the 80th anniversary, it has been adapted for radio. The play draws on careful
research into local history to capture the sometimes humorous, and ultimately moving, effect of a momentous day in history on ordinary people.
This play was first broadcast in May this year
2.30pm - 4.30pm Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester
On Face2Face this week, Tim and Linda meet Great Shefford’s new author Nick Pearson (pic right) and find out about his first book. Plus we admire a special old British car, share memories of a 50s musician who wrote several classic songs, check out the rules of engagement in Victorian romance and hear all about a weekend of ghostly encounters in Shrewsbury.
